PostBank’s Peter Ssenyange Wins CFO of the Year at 9th Annual CFO Awards

Peter Ssenyange, the Chief Financial Officer of PostBank Uganda, has been honored as the CFO of the Year 2025 during the 9th Annual CFO Awards held at Serena Hotel, Kampala. The event celebrated excellence in financial leadership under the theme “Legacy & Impact.”

Since joining PostBank in June 2020, Ssenyange has been pivotal in driving the bank’s digital transformation, promoting financial inclusion, and implementing sustainable banking practices. His strategic initiatives have strengthened the bank’s position as a forward-looking institution focused on long-term value creation.

In addition to being named CFO of the Year, Ssenyange also received the Sustainability Award, highlighting his commitment to responsible financial management and ethical business growth. These dual honors reflect the expanding role of CFOs in guiding organizational strategy and fostering meaningful change.

Other notable finance leaders were also recognized during the gala. Ronald Makata of Stanbic Bank Uganda was named First Runner-Up for CFO of the Year and received the Finance Transformation & Technology Award. Robinah Siima of FINCA Uganda was honored with the Young CFO Award, while Emmanuel Mugagga of UNOC took home the Strategy Execution Award.

The 9th Annual CFO Awards celebrated the vital contributions of finance professionals in driving both corporate success and broader societal impact. Peter Ssenyange’s recognition serves as an inspiration to emerging financial leaders in Uganda and the region.
