About two years ago, veteran TV presenter Mc Kats revealed that he is HIV positive.

Since then, he has embarked on creating awareness about the deadly disease and fighting against stigma plus discrimination.

Over the weekend, Mc Kats held his annual King of the Mic concert that aired live on NBS TV.

While on the show, Mc Kats opened up about his struggles before coming out to the public to reveal his HIV status.

Mc Kats narrated that even his close friends stigmatized him.

“When I revealed my HIV status, it opened up my heart. I felt happier.”

“I was stigmatized for so long in silence by even my close friends,” Mc Kats revealed.

He also vowed to champion ending HIV in Uganda by 2030.
