Eddy Kenzo was one of the lucky winners at the recently concluded Janzi Awards that were held at Kololo Airstrip. The singer won the Viewers Choice Award.

Discussing the awards during a recent interview, Kenzo questioned the awarding criteria used by the organizers.

“In Uganda, we have awards which I don’t agree with their organization. I just choose to keep quiet because have no right however much I may not be contented. If someone decides to organize their awards, they have the right to give them to anyone they desire but they are properly planned. For example, some awards were recently held where I was also given an accolade. How do you organize awards in two weeks? Really? Why the rush?” he explained in an interview.

Eddy Kenzo is one of the most decorated Ugandan musicians of all time.
