With nearly two decades of experience in financial operations, planning, and auditing, Gloria has become a key figure in Uganda’s corporate landscape quietly but powerfully moving the nation forward.

A Career Defined by Purpose and Progress
Currently serving as Senior Manager of Financial Operations at MTN Uganda, Gloria plays a pivotal role in steering the financial engine of the nation’s leading telecom provider. She is responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring transparency, and upholding excellence in financial reporting. Her leadership ensures strategic alignment in finance across MTN’s diverse portfolio, from core telecommunications services such as voice, data, and ICT to the rapidly evolving mobile money ecosystem.

Her journey to this leadership position has been marked by steady growth and intentional choices. She previously held roles such as Manager, General Ledger & Reporting, Financial Planning and budgeting Manager, Senior Accountant for Divisional Planning, Marketing Accountant and Senior Internal Auditor; each building her expertise in financial systems, forecasting, risk management and performance management.

Before joining MTN, Gloria began her career at PwC Uganda as an Associate and, later as a Senior Associate. These early years shaped her understanding of compliance, risk management, and the importance of integrity in financial stewardship. What sets Gloria apart is her quiet determination to lead with precision and purpose. Her career reflects not just a climb up the corporate ladder, but a commitment to using finance as a tool for transformation within institutions and across communities. She believes in empowering others to build a network of individuals who will create change in their different spheres of influence.

Education That Empowers
Gloria’s academic foundation began at Makerere University, where she earned a Bachelor of Statistics, equipping her with analytical rigor and a data-driven mindset. She later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Leadership at Southeastern University, deepening her strategic thinking and leadership capabilities.

Her pursuit of excellence led her to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Uganda and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) in the UK. These credentials reflect her global outlook and her belief that Ugandan professionals can compete and lead on the world stage.
For Gloria, education has always been more than a personal achievement. It’s been a platform for impact, a source of confidence, and a reminder that women in finance can be both technical experts and visionary leaders.
