Housing Finance Bank (HFB) used the third edition of Retrowave at Akright City to encourage Ugandans to look beyond nostalgia and invest in a future built on homeownership.

As the event’s Platinum Sponsor, the bank engaged hundreds of attendees with a message centered on creating lasting family legacies through owning a home. While Retrowave celebrated timeless music and shared memories across generations, HFB highlighted the importance of making deliberate financial decisions that secure the future.

Speaking during the event, Hellen Musubika, Acting Head of Mortgage and Consumer Banking at Housing Finance Bank, said many Ugandans assume homeownership is beyond their reach, yet the bank offers flexible financing solutions designed to make that dream achievable.

She noted that the HFB Home Loan enables customers to purchase, construct or improve homes, while the Zimba Mpola Mpola Incremental Housing Loan supports those who prefer to build progressively as their financial capacity grows.

Musubika added that the bank’s goal is to support customers at every stage of their homeownership journey, whether they are buying their first home, completing an unfinished house, renovating, expanding, or acquiring land for future development.

Arthur Jagwer, Operations Manager at Retrowave, said the partnership gave this year’s event a broader purpose by encouraging guests to think about the future while celebrating the past.

According to Jagwer, homeownership remains one of the most meaningful investments individuals can make, creating a legacy that benefits future generations.

Housing Finance Bank said its participation reflects its continued commitment to promoting financial solutions that empower Ugandans to achieve sustainable homeownership and long-term financial security.

The 2026 edition of Retrowave attracted hundreds of revelers, combining classic music, entertainment and lifestyle experiences while reinforcing the value of planning for tomorrow.
