TMR International Hospital in Naalya has been celebrated as Uganda’s top private healthcare provider for customer service. This was in the prestigious 2025 Business Excellence Awards. The recognition apparently highlights the hospital’s dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-focused medical care in a competitive healthcare environment. These awards were hosted by Consumer Publications Uganda Limited and aimed to honour organisations that not only achieve business success but also make a tangible impact on their communities. Additionally the awards spotlight excellence in customer satisfaction, innovation, and overall business performance across multiple sectors of the economy.

This year’s ceremony, held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. They brought together government officials, industry leaders, and business professionals. More than 80 companies from different sectors were honored for their contributions to Uganda’s growth and service quality. Receiving the award on behalf of TMR, Executive Director Dr. Daniel Mitchell Talemwa expressed gratitude to the organizers for creating a platform that values and measures customer satisfaction. “This award serves to push us to be better at our service,” he said. “We have not been in the industry for long, but we are working hard to ensure we create the change that the public desires.”

Agnes Alowo, Chief Operations Manager at Consumer Publications, explained that the selection process for winners involved consumer voting, public nominations, and extensive market research. She praised TMR’s win, noting the hospital’s commitment to “providing comprehensive and cutting-edge healthcare, first-rate medical infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology and highly qualified staff.”

The 2025 awards also recognised excellence in other sectors. Crestank Limited took home the prize for best manufacturer of plastic tanks, Tembo Steels won for best manufacturer of TMX bars, Movit Products was named best manufacturer of personal care, body and hair products, and Pan Dental Surgery was honoured for its leadership in dental and oral healthcare. With this accolade they scooped, TMR International Hospital will be hoping to continue positioning itself as a leader in Uganda’s healthcare sector through setting new standards for patient care and medical service delivery.
