Carolyne’s journey in the financial services arena began in finance, focused on credit control, an area where integrity, discipline, accuracy, and analytical thinking are paramount. In 2014, she joined UAP Old Mutual Insurance as an Assistant Manager in Credit Control within the Finance Department, laying the foundations for a career that would grow across functions and leadership roles.
Her versatility and passion for the business soon saw her transition into property management and business development, where she honed her skills in client engagement, product understanding, and strategic planning. This shift marked a pivot toward roles that combined market growth with financial insight, setting the stage for her ascent into commercial leadership.
Over the years, Carolyne has transitioned through several key positions at Old Mutual, mainly propelled towards Business growth, marketing and Customer experience, where she built and strengthened business networks and sales and distribution Services that deepened her leadership and strategy experience.
She is remarkably known for driving portfolios across specialised markets, including Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Renewable Energy. The space that gave her a strong grasp of the commercial and operational facets of insurance, especially in complex industry segments.
Her trajectory culminated in her appointment as Head of Marketing and Distribution for General Insurance at Old Mutual Insurance Uganda, a role that places her at the forefront of strategic engagement, customer experience design, distribution network leadership, and market positioning.
