Wakiso Giants duo up for November Awards

Wakiso Giants head coach and Alex Gitta and Titus Ssematimba have been nominated for the Pilsner Premier League Coach and Player of the Month awards for November.

In November, Gitta guided Wakiso Giants to nine out of a possible 12 points as the club amassed more points than any other club in the same period.

Meanwhile, Ssematimba was in fine form in the second month of the league.

He scored four goals and provided one assist in the three games he featured in making him arguably the standout goal contributor in the league over the course of the 30 days.

Ssematimba scored a brace against record champions SC Villa and repeated the feat against Tooro United.

The youngster is currently the second-highest scorer in the league only one striker behind leading goal scorers Davis Kasirye and Steven Mukwala.

The other nominees are URA pair of Cromwell Rwothomio and Steven Mukwala.

Gitta is up against KCCA’s Morley Byekwaso who won October’s award and Vipers’ Robertinho Oliviera.
